About
The workshop draws inspiration from water scenes, such as the Bosphorus and the Nile River, featured in the exhibition By the Water: The Life and Art of Halil Paşa. Children first examine the water surfaces, shores, and boats seen in the works, then imagine what kind of world might exist beneath these waters. Sea creatures drawn on transparent surfaces become visible with the light from cardboard lanterns held behind them, allowing children to discover imaginary creatures and secret worlds beneath the water in these illuminated scenes. Throughout the process, they develop their observation and imagination skills, leaving the workshop with underwater scenes created with light and drawing.
