About
The workshop draws inspiration from the landscape paintings in the exhibition By the Water: The Life and Art of Halil Paşa. By examining the works, the children try to discover the unseen aspects of the scenes, imagining who and what stories might be hidden in the paintings and what might have happened just before or after the moment captured in the painting. Then they open small windows on the printouts of the paintings and draw or write the people and scenes they imagine behind them. The activity encourages children to view a painting from different angles and create their stories.

About Pley Studio
Pley is a creative design studio that takes playfulness as its starting point. Aiming to help people stretch possibilities and enter a magical circle, or a free and playful state of mind, Pley uses open-endedness as a tool. Embracing the concept of “homo ludens,” which argues that humans are playful creatures, Pley is a guide to play that appeals to everyone who plays, both children and adults.
