About
The workshop draws inspiration from the Bosphorus and coastal landscapes featured in the exhibition By the Water: The Life and Art of Halil Paşa. Children first examine scenes in the works that reflect water, wind, and coastal life. They then listen to sounds unique to Istanbul, such as seagulls, waves crashing on the shore, ferry horns, and the hum of the city. Children transform the rhythms and associations they hear into paintings through colors, lines, and shapes. This process helps them discover how sounds can be transformed into an image and fosters a creative relationship among the senses.
