Children create a three-dimensional narrative by designing tunnel books and layering details inspired by landscape paintings.
Children taking a guided tour of the exhibition By the Water: The Life and Art of Halil Paşa examine the landscapes and scenes of daily life painted by the artist in different geographical locations. Observing the spatial composition, perspectives, and compositional arrangements in the works, participants design their tunnel books by cutting and pasting different landscape details onto panels that open layer by layer. In this way, children add depth and dimension to the landscape, reinterpreting the scenes within a three-dimensional narrative.
