The Black Keys
About
The Black Keys are an American rock band formed in 2001 in Akron, Ohio, consisting of Dan Auerbach (vocals, guitar) and Patrick Carney (drums). Known for their raw garage rock sound blended with blues, alternative rock, and psychedelic influences, the band has become one of the most successful modern rock acts worldwide.
The duo gained early recognition through independent releases such as The Big Come Up (2002) and Rubber Factory (2004), which showcased their gritty production style and powerful songwriting. Their breakthrough came with the album Brothers (2010), featuring hit singles like “Tighten Up” and “Howlin’ for You”, earning multiple Grammy Awards.
The Black Keys albums continued to dominate rock charts with releases such as El Camino (2011), Turn Blue (2014), Let’s Rock (2019), and Dropout Boogie (2022). Their music combines vintage blues energy with modern rock production, appealing to both classic rock fans and new generations.
Renowned for their high-energy live shows, The Black Keys concerts attract massive crowds across the globe. Their stripped-down stage presence, powerful rhythms, and infectious riffs create an electrifying atmosphere at festivals and arenas alike.
With numerous Grammy Awards, chart-topping albums, and global tours, The Black Keys remain a defining force in contemporary rock music, continually evolving while staying true to their blues-rock roots.
