Pera Film presents the Eternal Streets film program, organized in parallel with the exhibition On the Spot: Panoramic Gaze on Istanbul, a History.
Eternal Streets brings together five films from the 2000s that depict cities as living spaces hosting countless experiences, interpreting the exhibition's rich narrative from a universal perspective. The program, which progresses along a route extending from Istanbul to Tokyo, Taipei, Marseille, and Oslo, asks a universal question while questioning the permanent and inevitable roles of the cities where we live our lives: Is it possible to form genuine connections amidst crowds?
The program, taking place in the Pera Museum Auditorium from March 13 to April 5, includes films such as Hasret: Sehnsucht, which follows the trail of the feeling of “yearning” in the gloomy streets of Istanbul; Stray Dogs, experiencing the rainy landscapes of Taipei through the eyes of a homeless and vul
