Selda Bağcan’s music career began in the early 1970s with the release of her first 45 rpm records. Songs such as “Yaz Gazeteci Yaz”, “Tatlı Dillim Güler Yüzlüm”, and “Uğurlar Olsun” helped her reach a wide audience. During the 1980s, despite facing political oppression due to the social messages in her songs, she never compromised her art or beliefs.
