The 14th Istanbul International Opus Amadeus Chamber Music Festival brings Hungary's powerful musical spirit to Istanbul and is delighted to present the Saygun Quartet, one of Budapest's distinguished chamber music ensembles, in their first concert in Turkey.
Founded by world-renowned violin virtuoso Márta Ábrahám, the Saygun Quartet will perform three masterpieces for string quartet with its lineup of Hungarian and Turkish musicians.
Mozart's Quartet No. 22, reflecting the perfect balance of serenity and mastery from his late period; Saygun's Quartet No. 4, which masterfully blends local roots with a universal narrative, embodying the intellectual depth and dramatic intensity of his mature period; and Mendelssohn's Quartet No. 2, distinguished by its dreamlike, passionate, and lyrical narrative, invite listeners into the breathtaking world of chamber music in the magnificent atmosphere of the AKM Theater Hall.
Concert duration: 80 minutes (95 minutes including intermission)
Age restriction: 7 years and older
