Encounters by the Shore: Workshops for Adults

The workshop program organized as part of By the Water, The Life and Art of Halil Paşa invites participants aged 18 and older to explore Halil Paşa’s artistic world through various disciplines. Through guided tours and workshops, the program offers participants the opportunity to closely experience the work of Halil Paşa, who played a significant role in the transformation of painting from the Ottoman era to the Republic.
Halil Paşa’s landscapes of the Bosphorus shores, his portraits, and his approach to observing nature serve as the starting point for the program. Participants engage in various experiences such as reading paintings, creating with different materials, and physical movement, drawing inspiration from the artist’s understanding of light, color, and space.
The program includes painting analysis sessions, landscape model workshops inspired by Bosphorus vistas, and hands-on activities focused on reinterpreting Halil Paşa’s imagery using diverse material
