Invisible Connections
Bringing together six films drawn from key works of British cinema, the programme is structured around three thematic strands: “Preserving Care”, “Familiar Faces”, and “Future Perfect”.
Developed in parallel with Feelings in Common, which brings together works by 29 artists from the British Council Collection, the film programme follows the exhibition’s three-part structure and its titles, and unfolds under the headings “Preserving Care”, “Familiar Faces”, and “Future Perfect.”
The exhibition’s first part, “Preserving Care”, examines the politics of art collecting. While underlining the impossibility of preserving beauty, it instead proposes focusing on preserving care.
