Urban Festival Returns to Unite Electronic Music Lovers and Help Earthquake Victims
Urban Festival is set to return to Istanbul this summer, sharing its unique and universal sense of music and fun with electronic music fans from all over Turkey. First unveiled by FG 93.8 at Istanbul Küçükçiftlik Park in 2009, the festival has previously hosted world-renowned names such as Röyksopp and Trentemoller.
Now, the event series is set to return under the name “Urban Fundraising Festival” and will use all of its resources to help the victims of the recent devastating earthquakes that have hit Turkey. The Urban Fundraising Festival aims to contribute to the education and sustainability needs of children impacted by the earthquakes by building “Ecologically Modelled Schools” in the Adıyaman-Besni region and raising money for Turkish Educaton Foundation (TEV)’s public fund “Build the Future”.
