Girls in Airports is a Danish indie jazz band formed in Copenhagen in 2009, bringing together jazz, ambient, and folk traditions with elements of indie music. Their sound is shaped by vintage keys, saxophone, and percussion inspired by musical traditions from around the world, creating a distinctive musical language that moves freely between different influences.

Having toured across Europe and Asia for more than a decade, Girls in Airports move fluidly between jazz and ambient, folk and experimental approaches. Built on deep listening, collective creativity, and musical curiosity, their distinctive approach creates an atmospheric world that takes listeners beyond conventional genre boundaries.

The band's current lineup features Martin Stender on saxophone, Mathias Holm on keyboards, Victor Dybbroe on percussion, and Anders Vestergaard on drums. Throughout their career, Girls in Airports have collaborated with artists and ensembles including Teitur, Halvcirkel, and Aarhus Jazz Orchestra, and have performed at major festivals across Europe, including Roskilde Festival.

The band's musical journey continues through albums including Migration, Kaikoura, Fables, Live, Dive, Leap, How It Is Now, and the 2025 album Imaginal. With their distinctive atmosphere, powerful rhythms, and improvisational live performances, Girls in Airports have established themselves as one of the notable groups in contemporary jazz.
