mor ve ötesi is a Turkish rock band formed in Istanbul in 1995. Combining elements of alternative rock, progressive rock, and Anatolian rock, the band stands out with its politically and socially themed songs. mor ve ötesi’s music has reached a wide audience in Turkey thanks to its musical richness and profound lyrical content.
The founding members of the band are Harun Tekin (vocals/guitar), Kerem Kabadayı (drums), Burak Güven (bass guitar), and Kerem Özyeğen (guitar). Their debut album, “Şehir”, was released in 1996 and marked a powerful entrance for the group into the Turkish rock music scene.

With their 2001 album “Gül Kendine”, they increased their recognition, and in 2004, they reached the top of the rock music charts with the release of “Dünya Yalan Söylüyor”.
