Soner Sarıkabadayı, born on December 8, 1978, in the Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş, is a Turkish pop singer, songwriter, and composer. His mother’s name is Güngör, his father’s name is Hasan, and he has two siblings named Perihan and Zafer.
Sarıkabadayı lived in Kahramanmaraş until the age of four before moving with his family to Mersin, where he completed his primary, secondary, and high school education. He later moved to Istanbul for his university studies. While studying Economics at Yıldız Technical University, he began taking classical guitar lessons due to his growing interest in music. In 2008, he enrolled in the Classical Guitar Department of Yıldız Technical University’s Faculty of Art and Design and graduated the same year.
Soner Sarıkabadayı’s music career began in 2001 with the release of his debut album “Kara”. Although the album did not achieve the success he hoped for, he gained widespread attention in 2009 with the release of the hit single “Buz”, which marked his major breakthrough. The CD single was sold for 1 TL for 28 consecutive weeks, significantly increasing his popularity.
In 2010, the artist released the albums “Pas” and “Sadem”, quickly becoming one of the most popular names in Turkish pop music. His songs often focus on themes such as love, emotional experiences, and life stories.
Sarıkabadayı stands out not only as a performer but also as a songwriter and composer. Through the songs and compositions he has written for other artists, he has made a significant impact on the Turkish music industry.
