İklim Tamkan is a pianist, harpsichordist, and composer who has created a distinctive artistic expression between classical, traditional, and contemporary music. Born in Karşıyaka, İzmir, Tamkan began her musical education at the age of 11 at Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory and continued her studies in İzmir, Vienna, and Graz.

She studied Piano Performance, Piano Pedagogy, and Harpsichord Performance at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. Throughout her career, she has performed recitals and chamber music concerts in Italy, Poland, Switzerland, Slovenia, and Germany. She received several awards and scholarships during her studies and has performed at numerous national and international festivals in Turkey.

Her project Şiirli Şarkılar, created with mezzo-soprano Senem Demircioğlu, attracted the attention of Fazıl Say and led to the release of the duo's album İlk Atlas in 2017 on the Ada Müzik label. "Goldberg İstanbul'da, Op. 94", composed and dedicated to İklim Tamkan by Fazıl Say, became an important work in her harpsichord repertoire and was published internationally.

Alongside her musical performances, İklim Tamkan composes music for films, documentaries, theatre productions, video art, and short films. In 2025, she released her five-track solo piano album "Soft Reflections". Continuing to explore classical music alongside jazz, traditional, and folk influences, Tamkan brings the different colors of her musical world to audiences through her performances and compositions.
