Misha Dacic

After his stunning American debut at the Discovery Series of the Miami International Piano Festival in 2003, Misha Dacic quickly became a sought-after soloist throughout the U.S. and was featured at Ravinia's Rising Stars Series in Chicago, followed by performances at the Gilmore Keyboard Festival Rising Stars Recital Series in Kalamazoo, Xavier University Classical Piano Series in Cincinnati, The Golandsky Institute International Piano Festival at Princeton University, Frederic Chopin Society's Concert Series in Minneapolis, and The Leschetizky  Piano Series in New York among many others.

In recent seasons Dacic made his debut in Turkey performing at the International Antalya Piano Festival among others, and as a guest soloist with the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra for the Tourmaline Pianists Series performing at the Theatro Municipal in Rio de Janeiro, as well as with the National Symphony of Panama at the ASM Festival in Panama City. At the project ‘Beyond Tango' presented by the Miami International Piano festival in May 2009, Dacic has performed in a piano duo with renowned tango master Pablo Ziegler.

Misha Dacic was born in 1978 in Ex-Yugoslavia, into a family with the musical tradition, where he first impressed audiences performing with the local orchestra in his native city at the age eleven. Kemal Gekic, Frank Cooper, Lazar and Valentina Berman, Jorge Luis Prats are counted among his mentors.

Forthcoming engagements include recitals in the festivals in Germany and Spain, several duo recitals with the violinist Ida Haendel under the auspices of the United Nations as well as a tour in Japan, and collaboration with the Argentinean bandoneon player Hector Del Curto.

The DVD ‘Misha Dacic in Recital', featuring several live performances, has recently been released by VAI (Video Artist International).  Misha Dacic currently lives in Miami, where he has been a recipient of support from Patrons of Exceptional Artists.

Hector Del Curto

Praised by the New York Times as a "splendid player", Argentinean bandoneonist Héctor Del Curto has captivated the audiences around the world as a soloist and chamber musician, sharing the stage with the world-renowned tango legends Astor Piazzolla and Osvaldo Pugliese, pianist Pablo Ziegler, clarinetist Paquito D'Rivera, ballet dancer Julio Bocca, National Symphony Orchestra (WashingtonD.C.), Buenos Aires Symphony Orchestra and Teatro Colon Ballet among many others.

After a Carnegie Hall concert in April 1999 with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and outstanding artists such as Gary Burton, Joe Lovano, Pablo Ziegler, Jose Angel Trelles and Maria Grana, the New York Times highlighted Mr. Del Curto's artistry, making special mention of his "wistful, piercing solos on the bandoneon."

Mr. Del Curto had won the title of "Best Bandoneón Player under 25" when he was only 17 years of age. This award led Osvaldo Pugliese to invite him to play in his legendary orchestra, which made him the youngest bandoneonist in the history of Pugliese's Orchestra.

In 1999, Hector Del Curto received the Golden Note Award from the Italian-American Network in recognition of his artistic achievements. As conductor, he directed the spectacular show "Forever Tango" on Broadway and founded the "Eternal Tango Orchestra" a ten piece ensemble. Mr. Del Curto has produced a critically acclaimed CD, Eternal Tango and the album was successfully released at Jazz Standard in New York City in June, 2007.

Hector Del Curto´s recordings include performances with Osvaldo Pugliese and Astor Piazzolla on "Finally Together" (Lucho Records), Pablo Ziegler on the albums "Asphalt" and "Quintet for the New Tango" (BMG), "Tango Magic" (Sony Music–USA) on video and DVD and "Tango and All That Jazz" (Kind of Blue Records), and Luis Borda Cuarteto on "Linea de Tango" (Jazz and Fusion Records).
